The Meade ETX-90PE ETX Premier Edition Telescope eliminates the two biggest challenges of stargazers, aligning their telescopes and finding objects. Now, enjoying million year old stars doesn't take a million years to find it. It's as easy as pushing a button and it works right out of the box. The same goes for planets, stars, nebulae and more. Just pick an object you want to observe, press a button and then AutoStar will automatically point your telescope, putting it right in your eyepiece. Go to the "Tonight's Best" tour in your included AutoStar Suite AE software to automatically select the best objects in the sky for that particular time and location from its database of over 30,000 celestial objects. You just enter your location or zip code. After your ETX completes its patented Level North automatic alignment procedure it will point to the first alignment star. Use the new wide-field SmartFinder to center the red dot over the alignment stars for ultra-precise pointing accuracy.

The VMC200L is a unique catadioptric optical system. It incorporates a primary mirror and a meniscus corrector just before a secondary mirror. By doing so, light is corrected twice on the optical path. The end result is that spherical aberration and field curvature are corrected to a high degree of optical performance. The VMC200L's primary mirror is f/2.5; the compound optical system is f/9.75. This makes the system much more compact and portable than its competition. With the optical correction placed before the secondary mirror, the VMC200L avoids the necessity of having a corrector plate and all the dewing problems associated with a closed optical tube. An additional key feature is the rack and pinion focusing that is placed behind the primary mirror. The use of this focusing system eliminates the image shift associated with most other SCT systems. This is especially important when using high power magnification or astro-photography. When focusing, the image is stable and easy to adjust.

The VC200L's catadioptric optical system is one of the most sophisticated optical designs available on the market today and has recently received some manufacturing upgrades. The New VC200L has a lighter-weight optical tube with improved anti reflection coatings, a metal carrying handle and now comes standard with a 7x50 finderscope. If you are looking for a photographic catadioptric, this is an excellent choice. With its unique VISAC (Vixen Sixth-Order Aspheric Cassegrain) primary mirror, the telescope gives a sharp image that is free of chromatic aberration and is flat and sharp to the edge of 35mm film. The VISAC optical system is composed of a concave primary mirror, a convex secondary mirror and a three element field corrector. Especially noteworthy is its sharpness and flatness at the edge, which far exceeds that of Schmidt-Cassegrain systems of the same aperture. It provides a pinpoint star image less than 15 microns, even at the edge of its 42mm image circle. The open tube design eliminates the dew problem that is common with conventional Schmidt-Cassegrain systems and its size makes it very easy to handle. The VC200L is well suited for observation and astrophotography of the moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae, and comets. The rack-and-pinion focusing mount accepts optional 2 eyepieces and accessories, and an f/6.4 reducer for photographic use is also available. The comes supplied with a 7x50 mm finder , a flip m

As numerous customers have shown, the ED80's short focal length and superb apochromatic optics make it a great telescope for astrophotography. And now we've coupled it with a state-of-the-art equatorial GoTo mount that provides the stability and precision control needed to capture beautiful deep-sky images. The ED80 sports a multi-coated 80mm objective lens doublet of 600mm focal length (f/7.5). One lens element is crafted from extra-low dispersion ("ED") FPL-53 optical glass from Japan. This high-grade glass greatly reduces the chromatic aberration that causes color fringing around bright objects in standard achromats. The 2" Crayford-style focuser accepts both 2" and 1.25" accessories. Astrophotography and observing are made effortless by the Sirius EQ-G GoTo mount. The included GoTo hand controller contains a database of 42,900 objects.

At Tele Vue, we always try to provide good value in addition to great optical performance. With the Tele Vue-102 we offer the amateur a simpler, less expensive, 4" refractor which retains Tele Vue's core values; outstanding optical performance and superb mechanical quality. The Tele Vue 102 is available with ivory tube and black anodized metal work and with brass tube as the Renaissance 102.The Tele Vue-102 is a 4-inch, 2-element f/8.6 APO air-spaced doublet, similar in aperture to the 4-element f/5.4 Tele Vue NP-101. The Tele Vue-102 achieves similar diffraction limited, high power viewing as it's 4" sibling, along with a wide 3 degree maximum visual field (compared to 4.9 degrees for the Tele Vue NP-101).Like all refractors without a rear lens group (as built into the Tele Vue NP-101) a field flattener is needed for photography of star fields. A dedicated 0.8x reducer/flattener is available, to permit great astrophotography at f/6.9 with the Tele Vue-102.The Tele Vue-102 is offered as a package and as an O.T.A., since you may already own a 2" diagonal and adapter as well as an eyepiece collection and mounting rings
