Something of a 1970s comeback for the successful '60s blues and R&B singer Little Johnny Taylor, this highlight of this vintage R&B set is the hit two-part title track, a rueful song that itemizes Taylor's valiant efforts to keep his woman to himself. Also included are an impressive variety of choice Southern soul cuts, including the delicate "You've Got the Love I Need" the impassioned "How Can a Broke Man Survive," and the funky "Baby Get Hip to Yourself." A great simmering soul-blues album. Two R&B hits -- "It's My Fault Darling" and the ironic two-part title cut, later revived by Z.Z. Hill -- share micro-groove space with eight more solid efforts, supervised by Miles Grayson (who co-wrote a good deal of the album). [The 2005 Fuel edition returns to the album's original 11-song track listing.] ~ Bill Dahl
