Expensive Router with a Storage link feature attached on the router, but cant delete multi folder or file, and cant auto reconnect to the drive, after mapping the drive. cant support multi partition, with different Username (admin and guest).

Great support, but takes an hour to solve a simple matter, since they have to ask simple question first eventhough not even relevan with the problem. (See all reviews)

any bad reviews on this are incorrect. it works great. no dropped connections,stable,fast,great range. I would buy again in a second.I always recomend to friends and family looking for a good easy to use router.
it took 5 min to set up and get online. It took 10 to figure out how to get it secure but that was my fault for not reading thru everything. u just enter routers default ip in your browsers search and the router page comes up. read thru the settings and secure your router. its easy and once secure its flawless.mine runs 24/7 with never an issue.and it is just as fast as if i had used wired dsl. only a small diff wich is realy barley noticeable in some downloads. i download large files and music with no complaints.play games etc. (See all reviews)

It was very easy to install even with the encrpytion turned on. Had a little trouble getting the wireless notebooks to connect, but there is a patch at HP that fixes the problem I had. (See all reviews)

Linksys Wireless is easy to install and requires very little desk space. Not included in any of the on-line infformation or outside of the box, but you cannot connect directly to the Access Point without a 10/100 card and flatwire. You cannot use a USB port/cable. It allows you to link all of your home desktop and notebook computers to a cable modem, plus allows you to share printers and files/folders. Well worth the price; cheaper than multiple cable modems for remote computers to link to the internet service provider. (See all reviews)

This is a very nice router, hands down one of the better ones on the market. It is a full featured router and is capable of many things. However it is definatly for the more experienced to set up. The QuickVPN does not support DNS, and the QuickVPN software only works on Win2K and WinXP. Linksys denies that you can log in any other way, but if you know how to set up a VPN its not to hard to use the client of your choice. Linksys support stinks, I usually figure out anything I need to know while they are stumped at my request or problem, or they simply tell me it can't be done, right after I figure out how to do whatever it is I'm trying to do. If they did a better job with QuickVPN, and if they had descent support I would be even happier. I dunno what it is but when I'm told I can't do things that I figure out on my own shortly before or after the support tells me I can't just doesn't impress me. (See all reviews)

The units come out of the box with a 1.0.11 firmware. This firmware has bugs that cause the unit to hang, the dual-WAN feature to not work, and the admin interface can hang. If you update to the latest firmware rev (1.1.5 as of July 1 2004) all the hangs go away but you will find that the firewall does not work. You can see/configure the firewall rules, but the rules are ignored and all ports, from all IP addresses are allowed in. Linksys is aware of the problem and will not let us send in the units for repair or to have them replaced. We are stuck with units that cannot use the firewall features, and they are subsequently of no use to us without a security layer. We have spent 5 weeks with our 3 units and still cannot find a firware rev that allows us to avoid the hangs and lockups while still having firewall functionality. (See all reviews)

When I bought the WAP11, I did a LOT of research to make sure it would do what I needed it to do. Once I found out that it came set up to use the 192.168.0.0/16 address space, and I knew that my network at work would conflict with this, I was able to develop a new address space to run the WAP11 in, and now it works without conflicts. Now if only I could get RoadRunner to work as well too!. (See all reviews)
