The DTI/SC Series boards are designed to provide a powerful set of advanced call processing features that developers can use to create cost-efficient, high-port-density systems. This series provides digital telephone network service termination for computer telephony systems based on the industry standard SCbus.24/48 (T-1 boards) or 30/60 (E-1 boards) ports of voice and data information in single- or dual-span configurations are passed in real time between the digital telephone network and the SCbus. These boards terminate T-1/DSX-1 (1.544 Mb/s) or E-1/DSX (2.048 Mb/s). Optional DSP-based tone signaling, including out-bound call progress analysis, is available. The DTI/SC Series are ISA AT form factor boards that install in a single 16-bit expansion slot. The T-1 DTI/SC boards also support Robbed-Bit Signaling, and are fully compatible with resource devices that use or can be set to use 1.544-MHz clocking and µ-law pulse code modulation (PCM). All basic channel associated signaling (CAS) functions are supported such as pulse dialing and detection, winking and flash. The E-1 DTI/SC boards support CEPT channel associated signaling protocol and are fully compatible with interface devices that use or can be set to use 2.048 MHz clocking and A-law pulse code modulation (PCM). R2/MF Compelled Protocol is also supported. All basic channel associated signaling functions are supported such as pulse dialing and detection, winking, and flash. The DTI/SC Series supports the Dialogic ISDN Primary Rate Interface (PRI) Access downloadable firmware that enables SCbus applications to use the speed, power and flexibility of ISDN. The DTI/241SC and DTI/301SC models contain an additional digital signal processor (DSP) daughterboard that provides a broad range of tone signaling capabilities. The added features are actually a subset of Dialogic SpringWare voice processing algorithms. This subset is downloaded to the on-board DSPs on system initialization and provides 24 (T-1) or 30 (E-1) channels of nonblocked access to tone signaling and outbound call progress analysis.
