The PathBuilder switch provides the ability to integrate analog voice capabilities with traditional data routing functionality. Up to three interface modules can be installed in each system in any combination. Each of these three modules has four analog ports. These interface modules convert the incoming analog signal to G.711 digitized TDM format. Outgoing signals are converted back to analog. Two types of interface modules are available: FXS and FX0. The FXS interface provides support for phone and fax end stations. The FXO interface provides support for connections to voice switching equipment such as a PBX or PSTN. Any combination of FXS and FXO modules is available depending upon your configuration requirements. (More)
