The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency.Infinity Reference speakers have two-ohm voice coils. This unique approach extracts more power from your amp or head unit. Many factory OE systems include two-ohm speakers. Infinity Reference speakers are perfect for those applications. If your head unit or amplifier is rated to drive a four-ohm load, Infinity Reference speakers are still the best option.Edge-driven textile dome tweeters are not commonly used w-domes, but fully-edge-driven domes like those found in better home audio speakers. The benefit is increased power handling and reduced distortion at high output levels. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer.The 6022si also features a tweeter level adjustment located on the front of the speaker and can be set at the reference level of 0dB. The Plus One technology delivers a cone with more surface area than competing models of the same size. The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency.Edge-driven MMD dome midrange are not commonly used W-domes, but fully edge driven domes like those found in fine home audio loudspeakers. This much larger voice coil increases power handling and provides better sonic integration with the mid-woofer.Woven glass fiber woofer cone material is extremely stiff, minimizing cone flex which yeilds very low distortion and improved clarity, an Infinity trademark.All Kappa speakers feature two-ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance "seen" by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Kappa speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.Each Kappa multielement and component system features an outboard crossover that has been voice-matched for flawless performance with incredible detail and accuracy.To ensure response clear out to 30kHz, both three-way multielements use a UHF super tweeter.Each Kappa multielement features a user adjustable tweeter level control. On the three-way models, it is the simple push of a button right on the tweeter faceplate.
