I purchased a set of these from Amazon and installed in a 98 Mazda Protege. I've paired them with a new JVC KD-R200 radio and they sound great! Lost 1 star due to the mildly cheesy grill. Don't mind the look so much as the hole that could allow my 2yr old to reach in and poke the driver.
Very pleased, though.
Got these speakers about 6 months ago and could never complain. Hooked up to a Sony CDX-GT820IP head unit. Good punchy bass, kept up with all types of music (death metal to rap). Recently switched to Alpine type R 6x9's and these sound a little cleaner on the low end, otherwise no dramatic change
great bass from these speakers... they can also handle allot of watts and stay very clear with very little to no distortion... if you want all you can get from these speakers you will defiantly have to run them through an amp
