These are patent-pending cones with Composite Foamed IMPP, which uses Interlaced Aramid Fiber sandwiched between Aramid Fiber (woven carbon-blended fiber) and glass fiber layers. This combination ensures greater rigidity and superior resistance against bending - ideal for reproducing midrange sound.The woofer for these PRS speakers is surrounded by high-density Micro Fiber. This material is not only extremely lightweight, but also features superior physical properties such as lower mechanical resistance and lower internal loss in comparison to other materials. This means that its linearity is truly excellent, allowing the voice coil's short winding length to be sued to its full potential. Plus, Micro Fiber is much less flexible than other materials, which stops unwanted "rolling" of the vibration system.
