Enjoy hours of uninterrupted music with the CDP-CE375. Load up to five of your favorite discs (CDs, CD-Rs…even CD-RWs!) and let the changer play each one straight through, or choose shuffle play for a surprise mix from any combination of discs. Either way, you'll be treated to smooth, detailed Sony sound. The remote lets you adjust the changer's volume from a comfortable seat, and its direct access buttons let you quickly locate specific songs or program a customized playlist of tracks. (You also get a front-panel jog dial for quick, easy track selection right from the player.) An optical digital output lets you make crystal-clear direct digital recordings to an external CD-R or MiniDisc recorder. And whether you're dubbing to CD-Rs, MDs, or cassettes, time edit and peak search make the job easier. (More)
Communicating components? Sure, why not. JVC claims that their CompuLink control system will create communication between your A/V externals and main system, for a unified home audio configuration. CompuLink heads off a set of generous convenience and performance features of the XLFZ258BK CD player.Besides CompuLink, the XLFZ258BK includes enhancement features such as an 8x oversampling digital filter and a 1-bit pulse-edge modulation digital-to-analog converter.Playback modes include continuous play and smart random play. Another neat feature is the Play Exchange, which gives the impatient listener the option to change and arrange up to four CDs while one is playing.A step-down model in the JVC line is the XLFZ158BK. Pioneer's PDM-426 six-disc CD changer is an entry-level unit. It's the sort of machine that requires you to put six CDs in a magazine that's loaded into the player via a slot. That's somewhat less convenient than a carousel-type design that doesn't require a cartridge and allows changing a disc while the machine continues to play another. However, it does let you take the magazine and use it in your car, if you have one of Pioneer's magazine-equipped car CD changers. This Pioneer offers full programmability, random play and repeat modes. What's more, it offers auto-power on and off. It sits on thick shock feet that should help keep the bass from making this player skip. The absence of digital outputs on this player will be an issue to some users. . 6-disc magazine changer. 1-bit D/A converter. signal-to-noise ratio 98 dB. dynamic range 95 dB. hi-lite scan. memory hold. timer play. 5 x 17 x 16 inches (HWD); 8 lbs.
