The most entertainment I received was watching the turntable whiz around at a very fast rate back and forth searching for the CD to play. The eratic electronic controls were apparently specially designed to work with the mechanical turntable which would grind and moan. A truely awful product !

It quit playing soon after we bought it. The player reset a few times by unplugging it for a day. Now it just doesn't play at all. It is a lot of work to put all of those CDs in and now have to take them out. We tried everything; made sure it was lev

I like mine and have never experienced any mechainical failures or difficulty even when I was having some electrical issues in my new home. I screwed up and lost the manual and wished I had it so I could program the player for parties and such. It is a bit bulky but holds a sh*t load of CD's. If anything, I wish that it played variable formats like MP3 and WMA rather than just CDA of off CD, CDR, and CDRW.Would recommend though!
  • Pros: good features, good capacity, I like the Hitlist feature
  • Cons: lost manual and pain to program from memory

I've owed my 300 CD Jukebox for 3 months. At first I thought I had found a gold mine. Spent about 2 days loading all 300 cd's with titles into the jukebox. It produced a wonderful clear sound. It was an outstanding improvement over my old 5 CD player. The sound was so good that I thought I was hearing the music live. For the first two months it was beautiful. The last month I have had to clean the optical eye (I believe that is what reads the CD)repeatedly due to static. I can take the same CD out of the Jukebox and play it in my truck, car or mini-stereo without any static. At first, I thought it might be a scratch on the CD that I just couldn't see. After a little investigative work, it comes down to the 300 CD Jukebox optical eye. It is enough to make one want to pull it out of the wall and take a baseball bat to it!!!!!!!!!
  • Pros: Holds up to 300 CD's
  • Cons: Poor optical reader

This item skipped tracks and slipped its place occasionally from the first day. It seemed to improve, so I did not complain, especially since a return means removing 300 disks. (It took two days to fill and program this device.) After ten weeks it has stopped working completely. SONY says it qualifies for its replacement program, which means they know it is a lemon. However, they will not pay shipping for the return, and the replacement is refurbished, not new. An arrogant manager tried to shift blame to the reseller, and to me, even after I listed the thousands of dollars I have spent on SONY products (all work fine, no need for repair) over several years. So I will send it back and get a replacement, but never purchase from SONY again.
  • Pros: Keyboard attachment allows CD name to be displayed.
  • Cons: Skipped tracks at first; completely broken in 3 months.

Try another brand or model. This Sony CD player only takes up space. Won't play many of the tracks and nerver the first one.

I love the machine. However, it wows when I play back CD's. Honestly, I have only loaded 5 disks in at one time and have had little time to play with it. The purpose of this review is to inform readers of Sony's response. It is June 25, 2003 and I just dropped it off at the local service center. It should be ready in 10 days. Will keep everybody informed.
