This is poorly engineered. Coffee and grounds all over the counter even after I clean out all the parts. I even returned the first one to Cuisinart and they replaced it. About 2 or 3 cups end up in carafe and the rest all over the counter. Finally started making coffee with pot in the sink. Going to toss it in the garbage as it is junk.
  • Pros: Coffee tastes good. Carafe keeps coffee hot for 5+ hours
  • Cons: Poorly engineered

I had this unit only for a few months and has overflowed so many times I'm sending it back. I had a grind & brew before this one and it did the same thing. I'm done with Cuisinart.
  • Pros: The 12 cup thermal carafe keep's the coffee hot.
  • Cons: This coffee maker is horrible.

I bought this to replace an earlier Cuisenart thermal unit who's glass interior exploded. I had loved the coffee and the thermal feature. This one has a metal interior. Yeah. It makes great coffee too.
  • Pros: Keeps coffee warm, sturdy thermal unit, looks good
  • Cons: None

This machine is not designed very well at all. Too tall to fit under cabinets on counter, overflows often and you burn your fingers cleaning up. Parts are fragile and need to be set just perfect in order to work.

  • Pros: When it Broke Cuisanart Mailed part promptly

The mechanics of this coffee maker are horrible. Most times the plug that lets you get a cup of coffee before its all done, siticks in the plugged position. I can't tell you how many times I have woke up in the morning, only to find brewed coffee all over my kitchen counter. Just Say No!
  • Pros: Good coffee
  • Cons: The coffee overflows

This has to be one of the most poorly designed coffee makers on the market! Not only is the pot itself awkward to use and nearly impossible to wash, but it leaks and drips every time. The counter and the coffee maker need to be wiped up after each use. Most importantly, the carafe doesn't keep the coffee hot for very long (although it does stay warm). And the brewing time is incredibly slow. I've started making only 4-6 cups at a time because it is so frustrating. I bought this primarily because of the thermal carafe that could hold 12 cups. It doesn't do me much good if it takes such a long time to brew, then doesn't stay hot. And I'm sick of cleaning up the mess!
  • Pros: Keeps coffee warm for a decent amount of time. Looks nice.
  • Cons: Leaks and drips. Coffee stays warm, not hot. Hard to clean.

Bought this coffee maker, first 2 months it would take 1 hr to breww a pot of coffee. Good thing it has an auto start! the last few weeks it took 2 1/2 hrs to brew a pot of coffee. Didn't keep coffee hot. Made alot of noise while brewing. And two nights
  • Pros: I thought having a thermal pot would be great
  • Cons: thermal pot did not keep coffee more than tempid .

Don't even think about using this if you are groggy in the morning. You will end up washing your counter with coffee. You can pull the carafe out while the coffee is brewing, but you run the risk of having coffee overflow the filter, if things are not
  • Pros: Keeps coffee warm all day, if it lasts that long.
  • Cons: Lousy design on how parts fit together,
