I purchased this coffee maker for the color - red. After about a year, it has started intermittently leaking onto the counter top while brewing. This is my second KitchenAid product, the other being a large appliance. It has been a major disappointment since day one. I will NEVER purchase another KitchenAid anything.

I received my coffee maker at Christmas and within 3 weeks of every day use, an ERROR reading came on and it wouldn't work any longer. I called the company, they sent a new one and within 3 weeks the same thing happened. I will try it again, I am going

Big disappointment. Half the time the basket would over flow resulting in a mess and the need to start over again. Coffee was not bad tasting. Returned the item. Went back to getting up earlier and using the French press method.

We had the same problem as everyone else. This coffeemaker leaked everywhere because the permanent filter was not designed properly and the water would leak out around the pot while brewing. We contacted Kitchenaid twice. The first time, they sent us a new filter which still did not fix the problem. We called them again last week and they sent a new pot with a redesigned filter. No problems at all now. This really is a good coffeemaker now that they solved the problem. Anyone having problems should contact Kitchenaid again.
