The x345 is a 2U server that is packed with the latest Intel Xeon processors, DDR memory, and Ultra320 SCSI drive support of HDDs. The x345 is a feature-rich application serving platform for constrained data centers and application service providers. This rack-mount model is configured with an Intel 2.0GHz Xeon processor (dual processor capable), a 512KB L2 cache, a dual-channel Ultra320 SCSI controller and 512MB PC2100 SDRAM, expandable to 4GB. In addition to a 400MHz front bus speed, the x345 features a 24X (max. speed) CD-ROM drive, 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive, six free hot-swap hard drive bays (for a max. storage capacity of 440.4GB) and five open PCI slots. For your communications needs, a 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet controller is integrated onto the main board. The ATI Rage XL graphics with 8MB SDRAM support resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 in millions of colors. There is no pre-installed operating system. Supported operating systems include: Novell Netware 6.0, 5.1, 4.2, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 Server, IBM Director Extensions, Caldera e-Server 2.3, TurboLinux 6.5, SuSE 7.3, Red Hat Linux 7.2 and Open UNIX 8.0.0.
