I upgraded from a fuji finepix to this camera and the only thing I gave up was some zoom. It has tons of features and takes beautiful, professional pics. It was a super buy and very worth the price.

This camera is really easy to use. I rarely ever take it off of auto, but when I do, its still beginner-friendly. The live viewfinder is a great help in this regard, as it changes what you see as you change the settings. What you see on the screen is exactly how the picture will turn out.
