I purchased this camera to replace a Canon PowerShot S110. It will be used for taking pictures of my family...especially my 4 grandsons. It arrived just in time for our family reunion and I took lots of pictures of the extended family making my mother very happy. I love the fact that it is easy enough for my 5 year old grandson to use and has other options for my husband and me to experiment with.
I bought the P5100 to have a smaller camera that would fit into my pocket and give me more camera availability than I had with my Nikon D80. It is just what I wanted.
