For the excellent picture quality and all the features this camera provides, plus the cheap price (from RizCamera), I think the Nikon D40 kits gives you the best value.
The speed in which pictures are able to be taken is everything we expected. The clarity of pictures is great. We plan to use the camera in our travels and family photos, especially grandchildren!
The D40 has a great natural feeling in your hands. It maintains this balance with the 4 different lens that I've tried. I have never taken over 250 pictures at one time, but the battery was still going strong and the flash was used for about half of them. I bought this camera because I'm not wealthy but I really enjoy taking pictures. After reading a lot of reviews I bought the D40 and I'm so glad...
