The D40 takes great pictures and is more compact and less expensive than other SLR cameras. Don't be misled by all the hype over megapixels, this camera has all you need. I like basically everything about the camera so far. It is very easy to take pictures. I like the fact that you can get different lenses. Ilove to take pictures of my kids and various things around town.
