I've been using my Xti for around 6 months and I absolutely love it. I've captured some great pics of my kids at sporting events. Just be aware as with any DSLR you will need additional lenses that will cost more than your initial investment in the camera. Just make sure you check the BBB listing for the company your considering buying from or better yet, get the body from a local dealer and go find some great lenses on Craigslist or Ebay.. Once your set up this is a great camera that is easy to learn how to use and is easy to find accessories for..
Pros: Great Entry Level DSLR, Fast shooting speed
Cons: Not a full frame sensor, over exposes most pics

That said, it's worth noting that when we swapped the supplied lens for the more expensive Canon 70-300 IS USM lens, the 400D produced even better images. One option for enthusiasts then is to just buy this cam's body and put the cash saved here towards a...
Pros: Quality photos, lightweight and easy to handle, comprehensive manual settings, great on-board interface.
Cons: A little expensive, basic standard lens.
Review Verdict: Although the 400D is a pricey entry-level SLR, its capture quality, versatile manual settings, lightweight design and interface more than balance the equation. Highly-recommended.
