Bought an extended warranty. Great appliance until Unit stopped working at 1 yr 4mos.
Synopsis:
LG and Home Depot fight over who supports the warranty
LG will not issue a service call until the homeowner trouble shoots for them. Each time they suggest some thing else to try (took DAYS).
They also have you troubleshoot for models you dont even have.
They tell us to call customer service line which is open if you are frustrated - turns out its not.
Customer is now IRATE!
First order lost in some mysterious "system" outage. LG blames it on the service rep and says to find a better one (nice trait).
LG's Parts dept only handles on line orders and thier part numbers do not match up with thier DB numbers. Got the wrong part after waiting 2 weeks.
HINT: If you call to complain in an angry confrontational way, they block your phone number from thier customer service line.
We are on week 7 of not having a working dishwasher !! Spent over $$ 1200
ONLY BUY LG PRODUCTS
