14 Dishwashers

I loved how it looks we purchased the black model. We've had maytag appliances before and they seemed to hold up although we bought them 12 years ago. We have owned our dishwasher for about 1 and a 1/2 years and it's making funny noises. I've tried opening it while it's running to see if something is catching. I didn't purchase the extended warranty due to the fact that our wash machine went out and then our microwave oven went out. To much stuff went all at once we built the house 12 years ago it had all new appliances and they all decided to fall apart at the same time. I trust the companies I purchase from so if you really know what I think it's just charge more for the product and raise the price and make a better appliance. Good luck - new appliances aren't what they used to be. I wish I could go back in time and bring back the good old reliable stuff that was made by people that care instead of some factory line worker hoping to get his quota of parts done. Owned just over a year. Control panel stopped working after about 5 months since it is located on the top where the moisture from the steam effects it. Maytag had serviced and replaced. Just slightly over a year the new control panel stopped working as before. It machine also started becoming extremely loud when washing and the top drawer rollers broke. The service tech announced to us that the control pannel had the same defect as previously and will most likely continue to based upon where the control panel is. We contact Maytag repeatedly but no response to 3 emails. After the 4 email we were told that they will not do anything since the 1 year warranty has expired.
