With the success of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE and the void left by STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, the third spin-off of the original series had to find new ground to cover, even if that ground was 70,000 light years away. Unlike the other shows in the franchise, STAR TREK: VOYAGER doesn?t take place in the Alpha Quadrant, the home of Romulans and Klingons. Instead, a strange phenomenon takes the Voyager to the Delta Quadrant, where new races of aliens are there to discover--and battle. But Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) isn?t leading the normal Starfleet crew; instead, she commands a group made up of Starfleet officers, Maquis renegades, and new arrivals. Though the early crew was composed of fascinating characters such as Maquis Commander Chakotay (Robert Beltran), the Emergency Medical Hologram (Robert Picardo), and amiable alien Neelix (Ethan Phillips), it was the introduction of sexy Borg shipmate Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) that sparked the most audience interest. Even though the series featured franchise standbys of alien encounters and holodeck adventures, STAR TREK: VOYAGER was defined by its singular mission: to find its way back to the Alpha Quadrant. This release includes all seven seasons of the sci-fi series.

The voyages of the U.S.S. Enterprise continue in this trilogy of big-screen adaptations of the classic sci-fi series created by Gene Roddenberry. Seeking out bold new worlds often pits Capt. James T. Kirk (William Shatner), Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy), and the rest of the crew against extraterrestrial threats and the limits of human knowledge. Leaving out the underwhelming first film, STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, this collection includes the three outstanding sequels that made Trekkies out of generations of moviegoers: STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK, and STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME. Please see individual titles for complete synopsis information.

After the death of STAR TREK creator Gene Roddenberry in 1991, writers/producers Rick Berman and Michael Piller carried on the STAR TREK franchise with the second spinoff television series, DEEP SPACE NINE. Considered by many to be the best of the STAR TREK spinoffs, DEEP SPACE NINE broke with its predecessors' peripatetic tradition by centering the action in a single location--a space station orbiting the war-torn planet of Bajor--thus allowing for a non-episodic story arc and sophisticated character development. The series also broke new ground with STAR TREK's first African-American ship commander, Captain Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks), who presided over a diverse group of crew members that included an alien shapeshifter, Odo (Rene Auberjonois), among its numbers. Dark, imaginative, and compelling, DEEP SPACE NINE is presented in its entirety with this seven-season collection.
