Television producer extraordinaire Aaron Spelling launched a pop-culture phenomenon with his 1990s teen soap opera BEVERLY HILLS 90210, a landmark series that not only set the standard for '90s teen culture, but singlehandedly wrote the template for later shows like DAWSON'S CREEK and THE O.C. Created by Darren Star, the glitzy series chronicled the coming-of-age dramas of Minnesota siblings Brandon (Jason Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty) as they adjusted to their new lives in the affluent environs of the titular zipcode, where they attended the fictional West Beverly High with a tightknit group of teenage friends: goodnatured jock Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering); brainy good-girl Andrea Zuckerman (Gabrielle Carteris); naive virgin Donna Martin (Tori Spelling); aspiring DJ David Silver (Brian Austin Green); blonde siren Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth); and troubled bad-boy Dylan McKay (Luke Perry). Like DEGRASSI, the series attempted social commentary by crafting storylines featuring a wide range of issues affecting '90s teens, including alcoholism, drug abuse, sex, and depression. Groundbreaking and iconic, 90210's debut season is presented in its entirety with this collection of 22 episodes.

When this popular nighttime soap debuted in 2003, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) were sworn enemies on and off the basketball court. The reason for this tension eventually revealed itself: the boys were half-brothers. This bitter secret proved to be just one of many that would shape the drama of Tree Hill, the town where Lucas, Nathan, their families, and their peers all reside. Parental conflict and steamy romantic triangles create much of the show's tension, with the character of Dan Scott (Nathan and Lucas's father) developing into one of television's most sinister villains. This collection presents the show's third season, which follows the teens' traumatic senior year.

Based on the popular British comedy of the same name, THE OFFICE takes place in and around the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Using the same mockumentary style as the original, the series succeeds in capturing the quiet desperation of the poor souls working in this socially stifling environment under the direction of delusional boss, regional manager Michael Scott. Comic actor Steve Carell beautifully inhabits the role, playing a man so eager to be liked, he completely alienates people with one stupid antic after another. Blindly believing himself beloved by his employees for his laid-back nature, Michael fails to see that, with the exception of nerdy and bizarre Dwight (Rainn Wilson), he is resented and despised by all. Meanwhile, Jim woos engaged receptionist Pam, while both navigate the office politics and "humor" of boss Scott. Carell perfectly walks the line between despicable and pathetic, enlisting his audience's sympathies just moments before doing or saying something horribly inappropriate. THE OFFICE may be a remake, but it has charms of its very own.

This popular show follows a group of FBI agents as they go inside the minds of vicious murderers. With Emmy-winner Mandy Patinkin (CHICAGO HOPE) playing a star behavior analyst, these profilers try to solve mysteries by delving into the psychology of serial killers and terrorists. In addition to Patinkin, CRIMINAL MINDS stars Thomas Gibson as the group's leader. Several of the group's members are able to offer special insight into specific cases: Lola Glaudini's character understands sexually related crimes, and Shemar Moore's agent helps to solve crimes of obsession. Matthew Gray Gubler plays a young agent whose social skills don't quite match his high level of intelligence. Offering insight into both real and fictional crimes, this show is an essential for drama devotees. This release includes the complete first season of the series.

Quentin Tarantino returns to the crime genre once again with this adaptation of Elmore Leonard's RUM PUNCH. Transplanting Leonard's crime story from Miami to Tarantino's city of choice, Los Angeles, JACKIE BROWN cruises along smoothly, much like the film's 1970s soul soundtrack. The film follows Jackie Brown (Pam Grier), a flight attendant who makes extra cash by running drugs and cash for sleazebag Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson). When Jackie sees the opportunity to make off with a large chunk of change, she begins to play everyone around her, including two detectives who are threatening her with jail time if she doesn't rat out Ordell, and a sympathetic bail bondsman (Robert Forster) who finds himself falling for Jackie. Tarantino sets a pace that is laid back and groovy, building to an eventual climax that determines whether or not Jackie walks away with the booty. In much the same way that Tarantino resuscitated John Travolta's career with PULP FICTION, he does the same thing here with Grier and Forster. Overall, JACKIE BROWN is a less in-your-face effort than Tarantino's previous films, but it's this downshift in gears that makes it so refreshing.

To say that Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT is the best comic book adaptation does the film a bit of a disservice. It may be a Batman film, but this isn't a kid-friendly action movie full of the bams and pows of the original series. This is a pitch-black thriller with enough drama and tragedy to please even William Shakespeare, but it will certainly keep both comics fans and uninitiated audiences equally happy. THE DARK KNIGHT starts in the wake of BATMAN BEGINS: with the appearance of Batman (Christian Bale), Gotham City's criminal underworld is unnerved. They're also plagued by the new D.A., Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), who, in his quest for justice, remains above the city's corruption. Enter a new villain, the Joker (Heath Ledger), who wants to unite the criminals for a common purpose: to kill Batman. THE DARK KNIGHT is one of the most hyped movies to date, and a lesser film would be crushed under the weight of all that expectation. Some of the publicity stems from the early death of Ledger, who turns in an excellent performance. He provides moments of humor, but this Joker is terrifying, sharing more with classic villains such as Hannibal Lechter than with his comic book predecessors. Eckhart is equally good as Dent, and Maggie Gyllenhaal deserves praise for taking over the role of Rachel Dawes from Katie Holmes. Though there's more emphasis on plot and character development than in most comic book adaptations, that doesn't mean Nolan has skimped on any of the action sequences. Each set piece is done perfectly, leaving the audience breathless. THE DARK KNIGHT is filmmaking at its best; its subject matter may be dark and depressing, but it's tough not to feel exhilarated by its artistry when the credits begin to roll.

THE FUGITIVE: In this near-perfect suspense movie adapted from the popular 1960s television series that starred David Janssen, renowned vascular surgeon Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) has been falsely accused and convicted--on circumstantial evidence--of his wife's (Sela Ward) murder. While Kimble is being transported to prison, another convict stabs an inattentive guard, causing a massive wreck. Kimble escapes but is hunted by tough U.S. marshal Sam Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones). The fugitive from injustice attempts to set the record straight: he transforms himself into a jack-of-all-trades and a man of a thousand faces in a desperate attempt to uncover the truth about his wife's murder and track down the real killer. Spectacular special effects and a pulse-pounding performance by Ford turned Andrew Davis's thrilling film into a blockbuster at the box office, leading to a sequel, U.S. MARSHALS. U.S. MARSHALLS: Tommy Lee Jones reprises his Oscar-nominated role as lawman Sam Gerard in THE FUGITIVE. This time, his lamster is a former Secret Service agent accused, perhaps wrongfully, of the cold-blooded murder of two of his unit members. As the chase unfolds, Gerard becomes more and more fascinated by his highly trained and intelligent quarry--and more convinced of his innocence.

Picking up where the first season left off, Season Two of this popular night-time soap begins with Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Keith learning that the perennially villainous Dan Scott is in the hospital after a heart attack. Though neither Lucas nor Keith harbor warm feelings towards Dan, they decide that moving back home to Tree Hill is the right thing to do. Upon his return, Lucas is greeted warmly by newlyweds Nathan and Haley, but not so warmly by Payton and Brooke, who bonded over their shared hurt when Lucas took off without saying goodbye. Lucas is also met by a whole new school year filled with more angst and drama than the year before. There to stir things up even more are newcomer troublemakers Felix, his sister Anna, and a host of other characters. Highlights of the season include marital problems, new love attractions, drug addictions, blackmail, and the opening of a music club which showcases not only Haley's emerging musical talents but also those of real-life artists such as The Wreckers, Tyler Hilton (who also plays a minor on the show), and Jimmy Eat World.

As its explicit title suggests, Kevin Smith's ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO is a foul-mouthed and filthy film that probably isn't fit for the very young, the very old, or the easily offended. But for those who enjoy Smith's brand of humor, this raunchy but romantic comedy could be the perfect date movie (though perhaps not for a first date). With mountains of past-due bills piling up, Zack (Seth Rogen, KNOCKED UP) and his roommate/childhood friend Miri (Elizabeth Banks, SCRUBS) aren't sure how they're going to stay in their Pittsburgh apartment. But a chance encounter at their 10-year reunion gives them the idea to make a porn movie. When it comes time for the friends to do the deed, they realize that perhaps they're more than just friends. With all the talk of sexual positions and bodily functions, it'd be easy to say that Smith is hopping on the Judd Apatow bandwagon that has dominated the box office in the latter half of the aughts with KNOCKED UP and THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN, and ZACK AND MIRI even features a few Apatow alumni. But Smith perfected this schtick down back in the '90s with CLERKS, when some of Apatow's fans were still in diapers. ZACK AND MIRI is most reminscent of Smith's own CHASING AMY; there are plenty of gag- or giggle-inducing moments, but Smith's script is also surprisingly sweet. Rogen and Banks make a perfect couple, and the always hilarious Rogen could be Smith's new Ben Affleck or Jason Lee.

The story of the Griffin family continues in this third collection of the odd and brilliant animated series. Cancelled by Fox in 2002, much to the dismay of its passionately devoted fans, the comedy's huge DVD sales and strong ratings in syndication prompted the network to take the almost unprecedented step of bringing creator Seth MacFarlane's show back from the dead in 2005. THE FAMILY GUY takes place in a twisted suburban landscape that bears a superficial resemblance to the world of THE SIMPSONS, but quickly establishes its own distinctive tone and style, distinguishing itself from that mother of all dysfunctional animated families. MacFarlane's triumphant return to network television picks up where the show's first run left off, mining humor from a mixture of timely social satire, slapstick, and the outright bizarre. Without skipping a beat, the fourth season proceeds with the story of bumbling, well-intentioned father Peter; his sweet but oblivious wife Lois; and their teenagers, dimwitted Chris and awkward Meg. The most recognizable characters, however, remain the family's masterminds: evil genius baby Stewie, determined to achieve complete world domination at the age of one, and Brian, an erudite martini-swilling dog, the family's lone voice of reason.

The third season of this thrilling, hyper-paced series picks right up where the last one left off. With much of the crew back in prison at Sona Federal in Panama, Lincoln Burrows has been exonerated from his criminal charges. Michael Scofield, however, is incarcerated once again and is facing a homicide charge. The two find themselves dealing with the corrupt and far-reaching secret government Company and agree to plan and execute the escape of Company agent and convict James Whistler in exchange or the release of Dr. Sara Tancredi and L.J. Burrows. Of course it may take more than a few attempts to circumvent Sona's ultra-high-security facilities and countless other circumstances, but that's what PRISON BREAK is all about, right? In a season series creator Paul Scheuring dubbed the "Redemption" season, will all the pieces of this intricate puzzle finally come together? And, perhaps more importantly, will everyone make it out intact? Breakout stars Dominic Purcell (PRIMEVAL) and Wentworth Miller (UNDERWORLD) electrify this super-charged season.
