Control Type: The control type of a fan refers to the interface that operates the fans’ functions, such as power and fan speed.

Types

Rotary: Rotary controls are manual, user-powered controls such as buttons and switches.

Digital: Digital controls are powered by an electronic mechanism in the fan and can be controlled by remote.

Duct Diameter


In order to get an optimal experience from your fan, you need to check the duct diameter measurements. Use the duct diameter size specified for your selected fan. If the duct diameter is reduced at any point in the duct run, it can reduce the performance of the fan by as much as 90%.

Types

Ventilation Fans: Ventilation fans are primarily ceiling-mounted fans used in moist, humid rooms that circulate air while preventing mold and odors from accumulating in the room.

Industrial Fans: Industrial fans are powerful, metal fans used to cool and ventilate commercial sites.

Stand/Pedestal Fans: Pedestal fans, sometimes referred to as stand fans, are characterized by a flat base with the fan resting atop a pole and rotate from side to side to cool and ventilate space.

Personal/Table Fans: Personal fans, sometimes referred to as table fans, are compact fans to place on top of small surfaces, such as desks or tables.

Wall Mounted Fans: Wall mounted fans are installed directly into a wall and provide continuous ventilation and cooling.

Floor Fan: Floor fans are round, pivoting fans that sit on the floor or other flat surface.
