I am new to dehydrating foods but the Nesco has made my introduction quite simple. The simplicity of assembly and use makes its use a snap and with the air circulation system on the machine, there is assurance all foods are equally dehydrated....without the need for rearranging food or trays.
I have dried several of the fruits that my husband and I like, we really like the texture and the taste of them. I have not tried jerky, but am sure it will be as easy as the fruit to do. The only problem I had with it was drying bananas, going to have to try that again. Have a question about that. Do they have to be dried until they are like chips, or should they have mostiure still in them?
