Slicer worked great when we first obtained it. We experienced a problem after 5-6 months of light and minimal use. The motor gear is made of plastic and the gear broke apart. I have been trying to locate this gear for over a month now and have not been able to purchase. So my $100 investment sits waiting for the good fairy to bring a replacement gear!! (
