Japanese animated tale SAMURAI DEEPER KYO begins during the famous civil war battle of Sekigahara. Two opposing samurais, Kyoshiro and Demon Eyes Kyo, find themselves alone, fighting each other one-on-one. As they duel, a shooting star slams into the Earth and engulfs them both. Four years later, a bounty hunter named Yuya thinks she recognizes Kyoshiro, who has become a traveling medicine man and has no memory of his past. Suspecting that something strange has happened to Kyoshiro, Yuya draws him into a fight with a common criminal. The samurai's personality vanishes into thin air, as his body is taken over by Demon Eyes Kyo.
