Garmin Nuvi 255W Auto / Road GPS
Description:
The Garmin Nuvi 255w hits the sweet spot of functionality and price for many users. Combining affordability with features typically reserved for more advanced products such as Text-To-Speech and a widescreen. Want to take it even further? The Nuvi 255w is also compatible with optional live traffic reporting.A common complaint is the slightly underpowered speaker, however as long as you are not trying to listen to loud music and the GPS simultaneously, it shouldnt impact most users. With over six million Points of Interest your destination should be easily within reach.
Garmin Nuvi 265WT Auto / Road GPS Navigation with Traffic
Want (almost) all of the functions of a top of the line GPS at a middle of the road price? The Garmin Nuvi 265WT might be your dream GPS. Perhaps the biggest reason to consider the 265WT is the included lifetime traffic reporting system. While supported by occasional advertisements, the ads are fairly infrequent and unobtrusive. You will also find a widescreen display, Text-to-Speech, and Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling. About the only advanced feature not included is multi-destination routing-- but if you can live without that, this is a great GPS and a fantastic value when considering the lifetime traffic subscription.

Garmin Nuvi 760 Auto / Road GPS
Perfect for people like sales reps, or just anyone who needs to visit a number of locations in one day. The Garmin Nuvi 760 offers a feature seldom seen in other GPS devices, the ability to take a list of destinations and figure out the most efficient order to visit them all.Other handy features include Bluetooth hands free calling, the ability to send audio from the GPS to your cars radio, as well as the ability receive live traffic updates through the traffic subscription service. If those sound like features you might need, the Nuvi 760 has become a benchmark other GPS devices will be compared to.

I purchased the panasonic GP50 from a wholesaler thinking I was getting a great deal on a new product. I had been looking at the Tom Tom 920 and the Garmin 760 before I chose the Panasonic. I was extremely disappointed. I returned it the next day. For st

Garmin Nuvi 755T Auto / Road GPS
Looking good on paper, the Garmin Nuvi 755T is an almost fully loaded GPS with a widescreen, multi-destination routing, FM Transmitter, an included traffic receiver and lifetime traffic subscription, and can even optimize the order of a long list of stops. You dont get Bluetooth like that found on the Nuvi 765T, but most people can live without that feature. However under the hood the 755T feels a bit underpowered and often doesnt give you quite enough warning of turns ahead. The older Nuvi 750 or the similarly equipped Nuvi 265WT might be a better option.
Garmin Nuvi 260 Auto / Road GPS
One of the least expensive GPS devices with text-to-speech (it can speak street names in addition to typical voice prompts) the Nuvi 260 is essentially a replacement for the highly acclaimed Nuvi 350. With a slimmer profile and an integrated antenna, the 260 is highly portable yet still comes with a good set of features.Other improvements over more basic models include maps of the USA and Canada pre-installed. Despite the compact size the speaker is loud, although the voice quality suffers a little bit at the highest volume levels. But that shouldnt impact most people from checking out one of the most popular models around.
My GPS is compact, and easy to use. I tried different situations and it gets me where I want to go. My wife gets mad because I don't like to stop and ask for directions. Now I don't have to with my GPS.
garmin nuvi 260w review: A good, easy to use GPS, with great verbal speed and red light camera warnings which, unfortunately, aren't installed by default.
Garmin Nuvi 765T Auto / Road GPS
How often do you find yourself wondering which lane you should be in? Lane Assistance is one of the new features found on the Nuvi 765T which will provide the answer to that question on some major intersections-- just dont expect it everywhere. Another new feature is 3D representations of some buildings in the largest cities. Something fun to have, but typically not a huge asset to navigation.Still, the Nuvi 765T packs many upper-end navigation features such as route optimization, Text-to-Speech for street names, life traffic reporting, and Bluetooth hands free calling. Some people however might find the slightly older Nuvi 760 a better bargain.

I have found things in my own neighbor hood that I didn't know existed. Have lived here 30 years. Most of the negative comments I have viewed are apparently faulty units which should be referred to Garmin which I understands has a top rating for customer

Garmin Nuvi 780 Auto / Road GPS
Despite being superseded by the Nuvi 785, the 780 is still a top performing GPS that can now be found at bargain prices. When compared with the legendary Nuvi 760, the only difference is that the 780 includes MSN Direct services for live traffic reporting and data services like weather. But here is a tip, you can sometimes find the Nuvi 760 and the GDB 50 traffic receiver as separate purchases for less than the cost of the 780. The Nuvi 760 plus the GDB 50 receiver will be identical to the 780.
For the money the best GPS I have ever owned and I have had a few, ease of use, cost ,value, proformance,it has it all. Its accuracy is fantastic, it is very portable and light weight. I just can't say enough about this GPS, it is well worth the money.

Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Handheld / Trail GPS
If there ever was a gold standard for handheld GPS devices, the GPSMAP 60CSx from Garmin would likely be that device. Despite being a couple of years old, when new models are released they are still compared to the 60CSx. With a bright and vivid screen (albeit smaller than newer models), a GPS chipset that is incredibly strong and accurate, and easy to use buttons the 60CSx deserves its mighty reputation. This model also features and electronic compass so you dont need to be moving in order for it to determine your heading. Along with that is a barometric altimeter which helps increase the accuracy of the elevation reading and can provide important clues regarding weather changes. If you are totally lost looking for a decent, reliable handheld GPS-- the 60CSx is a safe bet.
I have been using the Garmin 60CSx for a while now. I use it mostly while hunting in the wilderness. The interface is quite intuitive and the keys are large enough to use with gloves on. The unit is rugged, water resistant, and has rubberized gripping

Garmin Nuvi 750 Auto / Road GPS
Looking for a GPS with lots of navigation features, but without features you might never use like Bluetooth? The 750 might be a great option. The highlight of the Nuvi 750 is multi-destination routing. If you have a complex route to follow or multiple stops to make simply enter the locations into the 750 and it will optimize the order of the stops creating the most efficient route. While the 750 is compatible with live traffic reporting it does not come with a traffic receiver like many of the other 700 series Nuvi devices do. However if you decide later you want that function, the option is available.

The Garmin Nuvi series has earned a reputation as a solid line of portable navigation systems, offering accurate routing, good design, and ease of use. We've seen it in the entry-level Garmin Nuvi 200 and the more advanced Garmin Nuvi 660. So we expected
Garmin Nuvi 205W Auto / Road GPS
Sometimes simple is better, and for that there is the Garmin Nuvi 205w. The Nuvi 205w does include voice prompts, but does not include the coveted Text-to-Speech feature to speak street names. The Nuvi 205w is also the Nuvi that comes with a widescreen and is easiest on the wallet.Despite the small price, the Nuvi 205w can be connected to live traffic systems with an optional traffic receiver. If you need maps of Canada, consider the Nuvi 255w instead as the 205w sold in the USA contains only maps of the contiguous United States.

Garmin Nuvi 360 Auto / Road GPS
The Nuvi 360 is no longer in production so there is a danger that if you purchase the GPS now, it could come with an older map. This model also comes with an older flip up style antenna which is slightly less convenient. It still remains a very popular model however, and if you are not concerned with updated roads, the Nuvi 360 could be a great bargain. This Nuvi will speak street names in addition to standard voice prompts (text-to-speech). The mount is still one of the best designs in the industry where the power cord plugs into the mount which makes connecting and disconnecting the GPS to the mount easier. Bluetooth hands free calling also became available on this early Nuvi.

I tested four routes. The 3 mile one it got correct. A 509 mile 9 hour drive turned into a 722 mile 13 hour. A 2 hour drive became a 3 hour drive zig zagging back and forth and completely ignoring a Free way that the proposed route crossed twice. The
Garmin Nuvi 260W Auto / Road GPS
Two of the most popular features in auto GPS devices are present in this simple to operate GPS. Text to speech enables the GPS to not only tell you the direction and distance to the turn, but will also speak the name of the street. A vivid widescreen display makes many of the menu buttons a little bit bigger (easier to tap) and will provide you with a little bit wider view of the next turn. While it doesnt have some of the fancy features of its siblings like multi-destination routing, optional traffic services, or Bluetooth, the Nuvi 260w still includes many of the must have features people are looking for today at an easy on the wallet price. Dont need text-to-speech? Check out the similar Nuvi 250 instead.
It is easy to use ,and if you miss a turn it "recalculates" automatically. There is plenty of notice as to upcoming turns, plus reminders.
Garmin Nuvi 200 Auto / Road GPS
Confused about all of the options when it comes to GPS? Just want a GPS that gets you from point A to B with no fuss? The Garmin Nuvi 200 might be your next best friend. No MP3 player, no live traffic reporting, no multi-segment routing, no text-to-speech (but it does have voice prompts), no widescreen. But that is part of the appeal of this ultra simple to operate GPS.The Nuvi 200 does one thing, and does it very well-- gets you to your destination with little fuss or distraction. But dont let the simplicity fool you. This basic Nuvi includes several million Points of Interest, has a longer battery life than competitive models, and Garmins interface is known for ease of use. It doesnt have maps of Alaska nor Canada so if your travels will take you north consider the otherwise identical Garmin Nuvi 250 instead. And if youre looking for a few more features, check out the TomTom 130. But if your looking for a quality GPS without the fluff, find your way to the Nuvi 200.
The Garmin nuvi 200 is user friendly- very easy to learn operation and easy to set up for a journey. You can set up for a specified destination address or use the points of interest feature to find restaurants, hotels, dining, etc. near your current loc
It's only a cost-first choice. Its' function is ok, but no engine protection cover included is very rediculous. Ohterwise, the map data is very old and some locations are not found in its' places. So, it will be your acceptable choice if you don't really have enough money.
