Review summary of Garmin Edge 705 Handheld / Trail GPS
I loved my garmin forerunner 301, but when my knees started to give out I had to switch to biking full time. Although the forerunner was okay for general exercising, it was a middle of the road biking computer. I finally broke down and bought the Edge 705 a few days after getting lost on a training ride. My friend and I both got one and found them to be incredibly simple to set up, including the cadence monitor. The display can show you up to 8 data fields. I actually ran out of things that I wanted to show and had to pick something random just to fill in the display. I've been able to use it a few times since buying it, and my Forerunner will most likely never come out of its box again.
