Best GPS for your MONEY! by Ruddi Oct. 30, 2008

If you want a simple GPS, the garmin nuvi 200 is your best choice. This GPS is very simple and there are so many options you can configure that will help you in the long run. The cost is very good for this product because so many features come with it.

cheap but bad by chaopo Sep. 6, 2008

It's only a cost-first choice. Its' function is ok, but no engine protection cover included is very rediculous. Otherwise, the map data is very old and some locations are not found in its' places. So, it will be your acceptable choice if you don't really have enough money.

Why Did I Wait So Long Before Buying My Garmin Nüvi 200? by jht176 Jul. 21, 2008

This is a definite plus in today's world of increasing gas prices. It generally helps me avoid missing turns and addresses that add up to unnecessary miles and wasted gas when trying to find an unfamiliar address.

Confused about all of the options when it comes to GPS? Just want a GPS that gets you from point A to B with no fuss? The Garmin Nuvi 200 might be your next best friend. No MP3 player, no live traffic reporting, no multi-segment routing, no text-to-speech (but it does have voice prompts), no widescreen. But that is part of the appeal of this ultra simple to operate GPS.The Nuvi 200 does one thing, and does it very well-- gets you to your destination with little fuss or distraction. But dont let the simplicity fool you. This basic Nuvi includes several million Points of Interest, has a longer battery life than competitive models, and Garmins interface is known for ease of use. It doesnt have maps of Alaska nor Canada so if your travels will take you north consider the otherwise identical Garmin Nuvi 250 instead. And if youre looking for a few more features, check out the TomTom 130. But if your looking for a quality GPS without the fluff, find your way to the Nuvi 200.

I
The Garmin Nuvi 255w hits the sweet spot of functionality and price for many users. Combining affordability with features typically reserved for more advanced products such as Text-To-Speech and a widescreen. Want to take it even further? The Nuvi 255w is also compatible with optional live traffic reporting.A common complaint is the slightly underpowered speaker, however as long as you are not trying to listen to loud music and the GPS simultaneously, it shouldnt impact most users. With over six million Points of Interest your destination should be easily within reach.

I
One of the least expensive GPS devices with text-to-speech (it can speak street names in addition to typical voice prompts) the Nuvi 260 is essentially a replacement for the highly acclaimed Nuvi 350. With a slimmer profile and an integrated antenna, the 260 is highly portable yet still comes with a good set of features.Other improvements over more basic models include maps of the USA and Canada pre-installed. Despite the compact size the speaker is loud, although the voice quality suffers a little bit at the highest volume levels. But that shouldnt impact most people from checking out one of the most popular models around.

I
Want (almost) all of the functions of a top of the line GPS at a middle of the road price? The Garmin Nuvi 265WT might be your dream GPS. Perhaps the biggest reason to consider the 265WT is the included lifetime traffic reporting system. While supported by occasional advertisements, the ads are fairly infrequent and unobtrusive. You will also find a widescreen display, Text-to-Speech, and Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling. About the only advanced feature not included is multi-destination routing-- but if you can live without that, this is a great GPS and a fantastic value when considering the lifetime traffic subscription.
