Despite being a couple of years old, when new models are released they are still compared to the 60CSx. With a bright and vivid screen (albeit smaller than newer models), a GPS chipset that is incredibly strong and accurate, and easy to use buttons the 60CSx deserves its mighty reputation.This model also features and electronic compass so you dont need to be moving in order for it to determine your heading. Along with that is a barometric altimeter which helps increase the accuracy of the elevation reading and can provide important clues regarding weather changes. The 400t comes loaded with Topo maps covering the USA (in 1:100,000 scale) and features an interface similar to the innovative Colorado series. The touch screen makes entering data and configuring the GPS a breeze.But take note, the quality of the screen isnt quite as good as other Garmin models, but that is a sacrifice you might be willing to make to get a touch screen. The screen sensitivity is great, even when covered with water and mud and with gloves on, however it is often difficult to read unless lighting conditions are perfect or it is relatively dark. Still, if you think using a GPS is as fun as the activity you are using it for, you will have fun tapping and scrolling along with the Oregon 400t.

You dont get Bluetooth like that found on the Nuvi 765T, but most people can live without that feature.However under the hood the 755T feels a bit underpowered and often doesnt give you quite enough warning of turns ahead. Sometimes simple is better, and for that there is the Garmin Nuvi 205. The Nuvi 205 does include voice prompts, but does not include the coveted Text-to-Speech feature to speak street names. While it does not have a widescreen, the smaller size makes it easier to slip into a pocket or purse.Despite the small package and price, the Nuvi 205 can be connected to live traffic systems with an optional traffic receiver. If you need maps of Canada, consider the Nuvi 255 instead as the 205 sold in the USA contains only maps of the contiguous United States.
