The GPSMAP 276C comes loaded with an Americas Autoroute basemap that covers major interstates and highways (including points of interest such as restaurants and gas stations near interstate exits), most major cities, many smaller towns, oceans, rivers, lakes, major streams, coastline cartography, and tide stations in the U.S., plus lake coverage in Canada. That's a lot of information right at your fingertips! The 256-color LCD offers a vivid picture that's easy to read, even if you're in bright sunlight. Or if you're doing a little night fishing, you can select night viewing mode for optimal visibility. The Course Deviation Indicator lets you know if you've drifted off course, while anchor drag, arrival, off-course, and proximity waypoint alarms keep you aware of everything that's going on. A marine mount is included for easy integration in your boat. The GPSMAP also features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack that offers up to five hours of operation. An included AC adapter lets you charge it up before you set sail. You can access incredibly detailed regional marine info (inland and off shore) with optional BlueChart® and Recreational Lakes data cards and CD-ROMs. And if you want added on-land navigation capability, you can also pick up the optional vehicle kit, which includes more detailed maps, a car mount, a DC adapter, and more.

In addition, this unit features a new, highly sensitive GPS receiver that acquires satellites faster and lets users track their location in challenging conditions, such as heavy foliage or deep canyons. Considered the mainstay among serious outdoor enthusiasts, the GPSMAP 60Cx and GPSMAP 60CSx offer a large color TFT display and turn-by-turn routing capability. Each unit comes with a blank 64 MB microSD card. Owners of these new x-series handhelds can also purchase new microSD cards that are pre-loaded with MapSource® Topo and inland lake maps, BlueChart® marine cartography, and City Navigator™ street maps.
