One should look for its simplicty. The product does not offer re-routing capabilities. This happens when driver knows the route and continue the course they choose to. The GPS should then re-route.

My TomTom serves the purpose for which I bought it very well. It is reliable and I depend upon it to get me to my destinations. I like it's durability and compact design. I use the male voice and call him Tommy.

The Tom Tom GPS is really great...gets me to where I need to go safely and on time.....very easy to use for those of us that can't tell directions well and get lost a lot...well worth the price..

Still, with MapShare, a Help Me! menu, and maps of the USA Canada, the ONE 3rd Edition is a great pick for a first auto GPS.
