The SLV-D350P also performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. Digital video mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this distortion, removing the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture. The VCR section offers 1-month, 8-event advance programming, and your camcorder or gaming console plugs right into the front panel for hassle-free connections. Its 4-head design ensures smooth slow-motion play (forward and reverse) and clear still-frame images, and with hi-fi sound the unit records and plays back stereo audio tracks.
