Duranguense, from the northern Mexican region of Durango, embodies the festive, dancing spirit of the cumbia along with the patriotic joy held in rancheras, and Brazeros Musical perform the style with a lively flair. (In fact, Duranguense bears a close kinship with the polka--the record even boasts the playful track "Polka La Chorreada.") Brazeros Musical open with the light touch of "Lagrimas y Lluvia," a romantic track edging on bolero, before launching into the party of "Quiero Saber de Ti."
