The Adaptec® DuoConnect CardBus for Notebooks provides FireWire® and USB 2.0 connections in a single card for high-speed connectivity. The two USB 2.0 ports combine high-speed performance with plug-and-play simplicity providing data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps. The single FireWire port provides data transfer rates of up to 400 Mbps. You can 'daisy chain' up to 62 peripherals from the one external FireWire port on your DuoConnect card. The DuoConnect USB 2.0/FireWire CardBus adapter for notebooks is ideal for multimedia input devices such as digital video (DV) camcorders, high-speed storage devices, scanners, and CD-RW drives.
