Actually, I have had this mixer over 20 years--have made everything with it--cakes, cookies, breads. I have the meat grinder attachment and have used it for that. This is my second Kitchenaid mixer. The first had a metal failure and the mixing head cracked totally through while I was mixing cookies. I think I had had the mixer for about 2 years--KitchenAid replaced it at the local factory repair store with no questions asked--at no cost to me--all attachments were replaced also--this was about 1983.
