The standalone converters are ideal for remote locations requiring a single, cost effective fiber link. These converters may be consolidated into a 19 inch rack system, allowing for utilization of a common product in the main or intermediate distribution frame and at the remote location. For those needing visibility into how their network is operating, a managed media conversion system is available.The Raven Series is designed with ease of use in mind. The UTP port will auto-detect the cabling type (cross over or straight through), the polarity of the pins, the speed of the port and the mode of the port without any user intervention. No more concerns about what type of device the converter is connecting, whether hub or server. The broad range of media for the fiber port makes for optimal flexibility in designing the network, and upgrading the network in the future.This product has been designed with diagnostic functions as well. The LinkSentry feature allows for passing through physical layer failures from one media to the other. This allows for a higher reliability in your network by making all components aware of network failures as they occur. The managed system takes this further by sending traps when link failures are seen on the ports. The ease of use, flexibility in network design, Advanced diagnostic capabilities and management features make the Raven series of converters the optimal conversion product for your network.

MODEL- MIL-140TRM VENDOR- MILAN TECHNOLOGY FEATURES- 10BaseT to 10BaseFL ST MMF Converter Module 2km The MiLAN Fiber-Twist modules are a family of UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) to multimode fiber (MMF) media converter for Ethernet environments. When installed into the MiLAN Media Conversion System, this module offers cost effective means to convert a 10BASE-T hub, switch or router port to a 10BASE-FL port when needed. This module is hot-swappable, so you can install and remove modules as you wish without powering down the entire system. This module features LinkSentry technology, which enables the module to alert devices attached to it when the link signal is lost on either side. Additionally, the devices may be configured to alert a device on the same port if the link is lost, such as in the case when one of the fibers in a pair or part of the UTP cable frays. This is truly a unique MiLAN feature. The 140TRM Fiber-Twist is designed specifically for conversion from UTP to multi-mode fiber. It has an ST-style connector on the fiber side with a switch on the UTP (RJ45) port to select whether the port is connected to a NIC, hub or switch. Multi-mode fiber allows for connecting up to 2 km away, extending the 100 m limitation of UTP cabling. * Converts UTP to multi-mode or single-mode without adding delay * LinkSentry technology allows for automatic sensing of unlinkable conditions and disables link transmission upon detection on either media. * IEEE 802.3 compliant * Switch selectable for cable configuration * Half- or full-duplex transmissions * SNMP manageable through optional module * MDI-MDIX switch for UTP port
