Comedy Central garnered some of its highest-ever ratings when it invited the legendary William Shatner to be the recipient of one its time-honored celebrity roasts. The iconic over-actor proved to be a good sport as he endured the hilarious, though affectionate, barbs of a star-studded roster of guests that included comics Andy Dick, Ben Stiller, and Jimmy Kimmel; host Jason Alexander; and Shatner's former STAR TREK costars George Takei and Nichelle Nichols. This program presents the roast in an uncensored and expanded edition that includes footage not seen in the television broadcast.

This pair of pot comedies is sure to inspire laughing fits, even if viewers aren't under the influence. BONG WATER: David (Luke Wilson) is an artist and a pothead. He's fallen in love with the beautiful and sexy Serena (Alicia Witt), and things are going simply splendidly until poor David's house burns down. Serena doesn't need the bad vibes, so she splits the scene and runs off to New York with rocker and junkie Tommy (Jamie Kennedy). Lonely David finally turns to the sweet, sweet comfort of marijuana and his strange menagerie of friends to forget about his lost home and love. SMILEY FACE: Anna Faris (SCARY MOVIE, MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND) stars in this pot-fuelled comedy as Jane, a clumsy aspiring actress whose tendency to find herself in odd situations gets in the way of her finding success. SMILEY FACE follows Jane's attempts to finally check some items off her ever-growing to-do list, but introduces several humorous obstacles along her way, including some mysteriously delicious cupcakes. THE OFFICE's John Krasinkski co-stars as a nerdy stalker, and THE OC's Adam Brody appears in dreadlocks. Both critics and Jane's cinematic stoner brethren--from Harold and Kumar to Cheech and Chong--are sure to find much to like in this hilarious film.

THE HEBREW HAMMER is a holiday movie that is most definitely not for kids. Adam Goldberg stars as Mordechai Jefferson Carver, also known as the Hebrew Hammer, a private detective who has an overbearing mother (Nora Dunn) and a propensity to whine when things get difficult. He is hired by Bloomenbergensteinthal (Peter Coyote), chief of the Jewish Justice League, to prevent Damian Claus (Andy Dick) from killing Hanukkah. The Semitic Stallion seeks out help in the form of the Kwanzaa Liberation Front, headed by Mohammed Ali (Mario Van Peebles in a great afro), while also falling for the JJL chief's daughter, Esther (Judy Greer). Damian, who has his father brutally murdered by reindeer, Santa (Richard Riehle), is supported by his right-hand man, low-grade hood Tiny Tim (Sean Whalen). It's hard to tell which side Jamal is on--but this foul-mouthed decadent elf is played by Tony Cox, who handles a similar role in the later BAD SANTA. The ultimate battle between good and evil awaits in this riotous Jewxploitation film that never met a stereotype or offensive joke it didn't like. Writer-director Jonathan Kesselman's debut feature film pays homage to SHAFT, SWEET SWEETBACK'S BAADASSSS SONG, and other blaxploitation favorites, filled with shootouts, curses, and sex, so leave the children at home. But don't look away for a second or you'll miss another groan-inducing hysterical joke or funny cameo. And the theme song, a takeoff on Isaac Hayes's theme from SHAFT, is a classic.

The clashing eccentricities that populate New York's second-highest rated news radio station generate an abundance of banter and much hilarity in this popular sitcom from the mid-1990s. Starring Phil Hartman and Khandi Alexander as preening anchors, Dave Foley as the harried director, and Andy Dick, Maura Tierney, and Vicki Lewis as quirky employees, the show lent a slapstick, intelligent humor to office politics.

In 1992, a sketch comedy program debuted with little fanfare. With minimal promotional push on a struggling network, THE BEN STILLER SHOW only lasted 12 episodes despite critical raves. Though short lived, the series had a great impact on American comedy. The sardonic skits and pop culture savvy would become staples of comedic fare in the following years. And the young cast of unknowns (Ben Stiller, Andy Dick, Janeane Garofalo, and Bob Odenkirk) would go on to perform in and create some of the most memorably hilarious works of the ensuing decade, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, NEWS RADIO, and MR. SHOW to name a few. This scathingly funny collection contains all 12 original episodes, plus an additional episode which was never broadcast.

Jessica Simpson (EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH) stars alongside Luke Wilson and Rachel Leigh Cook in this romantic comedy about a young woman who faces constant humiliation upon moving to bustling New York City from her native small town. Like a slapstick twist on the classic WORKING GIRL, the film follows Katie (Simpson), a clumsy girl who moves up the corporate ladder almost by accident. Once on the top, she meets an array of interesting characters, including ones played by heartthrob Wilson and comedian Andy Dick. Legendary musician Willie Nelson, Simpson's costar from THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, makes a cameo appearance.

"A man walks into a talent agent's office with his family and says, Have I got an act for you! The talent agent replies, So what do you do?" So begins "The Aristocrats," a joke that has been handed down from comedian to comedian for decades but is rarely told on stage. The next part of the joke varies, allowing for improvisation, and the only requirement in telling the joke is that it be as offensive as possible. Paul Provenza and Penn Jillette spent two years documenting as many versions of this infamous joke as possible, cornering comedians like Drew Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Susie Essman, and Paul Reiser whenever and wherever possible. The results are surprising, and often take their humor to places that may make sensitive viewers uncomfortable. While comic legends such as Don Rickles, The Smothers Brothers, and Phyllis Diller admit their familiarity with the joke, they shy away from telling their own versions. Some may be surprised, however, to see performers who are normally associated with family-friendly material, including Bob Saget and Jason Alexander, describing scatological and incestuous acts with deadpan glee. Ultimately, though, THE ARISTOCRATS is more than just many versions of the same dirty joke--it is an exploration of the workings of the unrestricted comic mind.

Comedy Central made history--and garnered its highest-ever ratings--when the cable channel invited busty actress Pamela Anderson to be the first female recipient of its time-honored celebrity roasts. Perched on a white couch in a talk-show-like set, Pam proved to be a good sport as she endured hilarious insults on a variety of topics ranging from her notorious bad-boy lovers to her less-than-illustrious acting career, and, of course, those famously top-heavy assets. Dishing out the slings and arrows were gloriously raunchy standup comics like Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Carolla, Eddie Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Jeffrey Ross, and Andy Dick--with guest appearances by Pam's ex-husband, Tommy Lee, and her dubiously sober best friend, Courtney Love, as well as an inspired deadpan reading of Pam's racy autobiography by octogenarian Bea Arthur.

Yahtzee, chicken nuggets, weed-smoking clairvoyant hippies, Shakespearean refrains, and jamming rock songs by Bad Company are some of the key elements of director Billy Morrissette's ode to MACBETH and early 1970s small town America. A comic interpretation of the William Shakespeare classic, SCOTLAND, PA tells the story of a fast food restaurant called McBeth's, an innovative establishment that offers drive-through service. However, the success of the restaurant's young owners, the stylish and popular local couple Mack and Pat McBeth (James LeGros and Maura Tierney) is largely due to the convenient murder of its former owner (James Rebhorn). When the quirky vegetarian Lieutenant Ernie McDuff (Christopher Walken) is assigned to investigate the murder, each of Scotland's strange characters--the tanning salon operator, the homeless guy that lives in a barn, the perpetually drunk barfly--come forward to share what they know about the case. Some of the funniest moments of the film come from the lieutenant's interrogations of the teenage sons of the late restaurant owner, the amped rock guitarist Malcom (Tom Guiry) and his poised, artistic gay brother Norm (Geoff Dunsworth). SCOTLAND, PA is a funny, light hippie movie with an excellent grasp of '70s music, decor, and dress.

Writer Annabelle Gurwitch's book FIRED! is brought to the screen in this celebrity-packed testament to the benefits of losing your job. Gurwitch's impetus to look into the experience of getting fired came after Woody Allen gave her the boot from an off-Broadway play called WRITER'S BLOCK, and now she hands the baton to filmmakers Chris Bradley and Kyle LeBranche, who further her efforts by talking to a number of people about their dismissals. Stars such as David Cross (MR. SHOW), Sarah Silverman (JESUS IS MAGIC), Jeff Garlin (CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM), Fred Willard (BEST IN SHOW), and Harry Shearer (THIS IS SPINAL TAP) provide amusing anecdotes as the directors flash back and forth between their reminiscences and scenes from the stage play Gurwitch developed on the same subject. Non-famous people provide equally illuminating thoughts, even inducing memories of Michael Moore's 1989 documentary ROGER AND ME, as workers at a General Motors plant expound on their fears about potential job loss. But the film never dwells on serious matters for too long, and it soon becomes apparent that its disparate subjects are united in the feeling that getting fired isn't so bad as long as you hold on to your sense of humor--actor Tate Donovan even turns his experiences into a masterly piece of puppet theater. A witty and enjoyable film about a subject that, for most people, is anything but funny, FIRED! could be just the tonic any newly unemployed person needs.
