I got this device about a year ago and dallied around making it my primary time-keeping device until I was sure it would work. The battery would hold a charge for days - at first.
About a month ago I really started using it, inserted the SD card, loaded all my schedules and suddenly found that it would not power up after several hours. I thought a new battery would fix the problem, but it didn't. It turns out this this unit and many similar hp products, Dell and others have this situation where the battery suddenly loses charge at an alarming rate. I lose 1% of charge level every 5-7 minutes. Some "fixes" and "workarounds" exist, all of which I've tried so far and they don't eliminate the drain.
Do yourself a favor and look farther. Check out the forum on the hp site first. (
