Firstly, to make it very clear, I absolutely adore my popcorn popper. I can make a huge bowl in less than five minutes, then just stick the machine back in the cabinet with no cleaning needed. Also, it's been a great investment. We don't have a microwave, so I used to have to spend 15-20 minutes over the stove to pop enough to fill my bowl; now, it's perfect popcorn-no burning, no oil, no time!
But, if I didn't happen to be so cheap, I would shell out another $30 to buy a popper with an on/off switch. It kind of scares me a little to see sparks everytime I want popcorn. Regardless, I keep using it, but it's only a matter of time before I trade it in. (
