The new Plustek Opticard 821, a palm-size mobile A6 scanner scans photo documents and business cards, but it also can scan all types of checks, as well as plastic embossed cards such as insurance cards, membership cards, social security cards and credit cards. The new OptiCard 821 is bundled with the BCR (Business Card Reader) which provides automatic recognition of company name, job title, person's name, address, telephone and fax number as shown on the pre-scanned business cards. Users then have the flexibility of saving the files to Excel or sending the files to Outlook for further categorization. The OptiCard 821 features a scanning area of 4.1" x 5.8" and supports a maximum of 19? through TWAIN.
