Was not such a great deal (cheaper if we'd kept the car one more day), but we didn't have a flexibility.

This was for a rental car. It ended up being from Hertz. Nowhere was it stated that there would be a $300+ additional hold on the credit card OF THE DRIVER, when the rental was already totally paid for through Hotwire.
