We are happy with the t.v. for my husbands semi but the t.v. won't work when he hooked it up does he need a some kind of ant.besides the co-ace?

TV video and sound quality is marginal.
Video:
1) not very brilliant or crisp as is normal with small screen.
2) narrow viewing angle.
Sound:
1) Audio is tinny, even after adjusting tone.
