The low score for on-time delivery is due to UPS shipping error, not on the part of The Wine Messenger. The legal address for the shipping destination does not include a street number address, and although UPS delivers to the address almost daily it did not recognize the inconsistency. Customer Service at The Wine Messenger contacted me personally and was very helpful in re-shipping the order. (more)

The problem I had was that one of the bottles had either re-fermented or oxidized. Once the foil cap was cut the whole top of the cork was saturated with moist wine and the cork slipped right out way to easily. The wine tasted acidic with hardly no aroma. We opened the second bottle and it was fine. I called this morning and the guy was extremely courteous and said they would send a replacement bottle. I also ordered two more bottles of the same at that time. Very pleased with how easy it was to correct the issue. As everyone knows the problem was with the bottling of the wine back in 1997 and not the wine merchant. (more)
