Contrary to some negative reviews about 42Photo.com, I have received nothing but great personal service and on-time delievery. I have placed my order for a Sony HDR-11E camcorder via phone (get a free cleaning kit this way:) and spoke to Rafi, who was very pleasant and willing to answer all my questions, and there were many. Placing the order was easy, and since the shipping address was different from my billing address, Rafi even advised me to make sure I contact AmEx to assure they have this alternate address so there are no billing issues/delays. I needed the camcorder ASAP. UPS shipping was free, and although ground takes up to 7-9 days, I received the package very next day. That illustrates... (more)

They were very quick to inform me the merchant had placed a security hold on my credit card transaction, after calling the merchant and 42nd st photo the order was completed and shipped within hours. They were also knowledgeable and courteous.

Could not ask for more courteous, knowledgeable and helpful service. I received a camera with a defect. When I called, I was routed to the salesman who had initially taken the order, Elliot Braha. The problem was immediately taken care of, In less than a week,I had a replacement camera. Throuhout the process I received phone calls and emails checking on the progress of the order. I first would like to say thank you for 42nd street photo for delivering the product just as they said they would in a timely matter and in perfect condition. Their staff and customer service were extrememley helpful the whole way thru my purchase. They provided me with a total of my order before the converstaion was over, and even gave me a discounted package price. they shipped out my order express as promised, and it arrived three business days later in California. I could not believe my eyes. I found the people working for 42nd Stret Photo to be helpful and knowledgeable about their products. I would purchase from them in the future. (more)

VERY COURTEOUS. Initally placed order with standard shipping time that did not fit our needs. 42nd Street Photo provided expidited shipping method at a VERY reasonalble charge. Camera arrived ONE DAY EARLY. I was very happy. They even suggested, very low key, a warrentee that meet our needs (more)

I am a freelance photographer and have background of using many kind of camera. I have a positive experience buying from 42nd St Photo and recommend the site to other people. It has selection of equipments that I couldn't find in other places. For example, I've just bought a Sony Alpha 200 with 3 kit lense, which I can't find anywhere else. (more)
