Key features include 5.1-channel inputs, allowing connection with future decoders or processors, such as a DTS box. You also get pre-outs for the front three channels, so you can boost your amp power later (the unit sends 60 watts to the main channels). Denon has provided for music as well as home-theater listening. A mode paradoxically termed "5-channel stereo" provides music through your fronts and surrounds -- even mixing left and right and guiding it through the center channel. You'll find a gaggle of inputs and outputs around back, including a moving-magnet phono jack for vinyl.
