The same coffee I've used for years now tastes awful. When you poor water in it, air bubbles get in continually so you can't get an accurate reading of how much water is in it & the coffee isn't that hot when first brewed. The spout isn't made right -

I expected this carafe to keep the coffee hot at least two to three hours. In less than an hour it is only warm. The lid is not easy to open and shut for small hands and the noise of the maker is quite loud.
