In her smart, funny, and poignant first-person documentary LIVE NUDE GIRLS UNITE!, Julia Query, a writer, stand-up comic, and exotic dancer, chronicles the unionization of San Francisco's Lusty Lady club. Query and her cowriter-codirector, Vicky Funari (PAULINA), also a former Lusty Lady dancer, use snapshots from Julia's childhood, bits from her stand-up act, and comic-book style animation to illustrate the lesbian feminist's path from grad school to the peep show. Query's comment that before joining the sex industry, she had "never worked with so many women with college degrees" is underscored by the poised, intelligent dancers interviewed. Decadence and Siobhan explain that though dancing pays well, they are denied sick days, are scheduled based on race and breast size, and are sometimes secretly videotaped by customers. To remedy such abusive working conditions, Query and her coworkers form the Exotic Dancers Union, but the process is a lengthy, stressful one. Query also has the challenge of "coming out" as an exotic dancer to her mother, Dr. Joyce Wallace, a physician renowned for her trailblazing work with prostitutes, when they are scheduled to speak at the same conference. Query's film is a political, informative, and personal inside look at the sex trade and the difficulties of unionization.

When Oprah Winfrey launched her Chicago-based television talk show in 1986, little did the American public know that the formerly impoverished Mississippi native would go on to become a hugely successful, one-woman entertainment industry with the power to shape the American cultural landscape. While early episodes of THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW followed a Phil Donahue-style exploration of sensationalistic social issues, Oprah eventually transformed her series into a more positive, spiritually uplifting experience marked by book clubs, celebrity interviews, self-improvement segments, and philanthropic forays into world events. This collection celebrates THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW's 20th anniversary with a selection of the series' most memorable moments. Oprah herself introduces the clips and shares her thoughts on favorite segments, guests, and surprises, including her famous weight-loss episode, her Christmas Kindness trip to South Africa, and the episode in which every audience member received a new car. The collection also includes never-before-seen footage from Oprah's early days, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show, and revealing interviews with John Travolta, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Michael J. Fox, Madonna, and the Judds. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Oprah's Angel Network, which works to improve the lives of women and children around the world.

Lil Wayne (aka Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) began his career in music when he was a teenager. At 18, he became part of the "Dirty South" rap music family at Cash Money Records, but in time he matured into one of the most idiosyncratic and original voices in hip hop, and earned a new degree of critical respect with his 2004 THA CARTER as well as his many mixtapes. In 2008, Lil Wayne confirmed his status as rap's star of the moment when his album THA CARTER III sold over a million copies in its first week of release. That same year, Lil Wayne granted filmmaker Adam Bhala Lough full access as he hit the road for a concert tour, and THE CARTER is a revealing behind-the-scenes documentary which follows the rapper as he travels from town to town, discusses his music with journalists, talks frankly about his life and career, indulges in his passion for marijuana and codeine cough syrup, and constantly puts down new musical ideas on the portable recording rig that's his constant companion. THE CARTER received its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival as part of the "Park City At Midnight" series.
