2-Way Speaker Operation features a 2-way crossover network, circuitry that sends the low frequencies to the woofer and the high frequencies to the tweeter. This more accurately reproduces the full spectrum of sound, with individual drivers (woofers, tweeters) dedicated to specific frequency reproduction. Indoor/Outdoor Speakers are versatile enough to be used both inside and out. Indoor/Outdoor speakers are engineered to be weather resistant, performing in locations with temperature and environmental extremes. 8 Ohms Nominal Impedance represents the amount of resistance to the flow of current from the amplifier. While the impedance rating of this particular speaker will vary with the frequency of the input signal, an 8 ohm rating speaker is intended to work with nearly all home amplifiers and receivers. No special amplifier or receiver setting is necessary. Acoustic Suspension Enclosure uses a sealed box design to provide accurate response. Some efficiency is lost, so a more powerful amplifier may be necessary to play at the same volume level as other speaker types, such as bass reflex.
