The big problem with most other weather-resistant speakers has been harsh treble sound caused by tweeter ringing. Niles solved that problem by putting a microscopically thin elastomeric coating on a natural fiber dome tweeter. The result is a transparently clear, natural-sounding tweeter that maintains extended frequency response. For surprisingly strong, tight bass, Niles uses a stiff yet light polypropylene woofer cone with a rubber surround in a sealed enclosure. The system is designed for extremely long woofer excursions. That means the 5-1/4" cone can create deep bass output comparable to that of a larger cone.The cabinet is shaped to fit neatly in corners or under eaves, and corner mounting helps you enjoy maximum bass output. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically using the supplied bracket. And you can easily paint it to match your surroundings. frequency response 65-21,000 Hz (±3dB), sensitivity 89 dB, 8-ohm impedance, handles up to 100 watts, withstands temperature extremes of -50 degrees to 200 degrees F, binding posts are mounted upside down, so water drains away from the connectors, threaded inserts for custom brackets (not included).
